About The Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Insurance, the Underwriter will play a pivotal role in shaping the emerging category of AI risk. This opportunity is ideal for ambitious professionals eager to join a rapidly growing, innovative organization, with a primary focus on the United States market.
Role Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage policy applications in accordance with Armilla AI's underwriting guidelines, applicable laws, and regulations.
- Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with broker partners to drive business growth.
- Employ negotiation skills to foster positive relationships internally and externally.
- Provide timely responses and recommendations to brokers and underwriters via verbal and written communication.
- Participate in broker visits, industry events, and marketing initiatives to foster broker relationships.
- Review underwriting reports and provide recommendations as necessary.
- Communicate updates regarding product pricing, underwriting guidelines, and new offerings.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience in writing commercial E&O and/or cyber insurance.
- Strong technical proficiency in evaluating and underwriting large, complex accounts.
- Knowledge of pricing methodologies, modeling tools, and standard policy wordings.
- Ability to analyze data for risk assessment and decision-making.
- Proven market awareness and broker development skills, with a track record of premium generation.
- Thorough understanding of legal and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including Excel and other departmental tools.
- Previous experience or skills in AI, Data Science, or Cyber Security are advantageous.
- Post-Secondary Education or equivalent industry experience.
